"McItaly
is a great goal that I intend, as I was made - said the Minister -
allowing us to look ahead and to broaden the horizons of our
agriculture. A worldwide network of like McDonald's is an important outlet in new market segments for our farmers. Our
agriculture could not lose this opportunity, as evidenced by the
numbers: 1000 tons of Italian products used, worth 3.5 million euros. "
With
these words the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Luca Zaia
presented, at 13.00 in the historic home of the McDonald's in Piazza di
Spagna, the new line McItaly, who received legal aid of Mipaaf. These
are sandwiches and salads prepared with 100% Italian products: meat
domestic, extra virgin olive oil, Asiago Dop, Bresaola della
Valtellina, Val Venosta bacon, buckwheat, onions of Tropea and Roman
artichokes.
To
begin, McItaly will be distributed in 392 outlets Italians, but will
become a must International, enabling products made in Italy to go
around the world. 75%-food, in fact, is placed in supermarkets.
