Italian
Sommeliers Association Membership is compulsory for all those who wish
to attend courses and other association activities, as well as the
final exam.
The
qualification courses for professional Sommeliers is organized into
three levels, with programs that meet the demands of an increasingly
savvy and demanding.
Class attendance is mandatory, they are tolerated more than two absences for each course level. At the end of the 1st and 2nd level, the participants will receive a "card" for participation.
Class attendance is mandatory at the 3rd to the final exam, they are tolerated more than two absences.
The
final exam consists of a test in two days and will test the technical
and cultural preparation and practice of the candidate. The
written test must be between 7-21 days after the conclusion of the
lectures, the practical-oral test must be between 7-21 days after the
written test. Candidates who pass the final exam receive the Sommelier Diploma and distinctive.
The
repetition of the final exam is also possible in a territorial branches
other than the membership, by letter of presentation of the President
of Chamber.
In all levels of course will provide the text of the official AIS and educational materials relating to the Course. Each lesson will include theoretical and tasting tours.
