A portion of the mountain area is represented by a section of the Eastern Alps and the Alpine foothills of Verona, Vicenza and Treviso, while the northern part consists of a section of the Carnian Alps. Eastern slope of the plateau belong Dolomiti del Grappa, the Asiago, the Lessini and Pasubio. The Venetian part of the Po plain occupies most of the region and is therefore a primary element of the regional landscape crossed by several major rivers, including the Po, Adige, Brenta and Livenza, in addition to courses 'water and countless minor irrigation canals. In addition to major rivers belongs to the eastern part of Veneto Lake Garda and there are numerous alpine lakes, including one in Alleghe, in Belluno, and to Misurina at the Peaks. Viticulture has spread throughout the region and provides internationally renowned wines: Bardolino, Soave, Valpolicella, Cabernet and Prosecco-known, putting the production of wine in the Veneto region in the top places in Italy. |
