Consulting plenary on 11 and 12 February next on "Innovation in the agro-food industry: the experience of the Veneto". The
meeting, held at Villa Contarini in Piazzola sul Brenta, in the
province of Padua, is organized by the Region as part of the cycle of
food industry conference organized by the European Commission itself
within the Competitiveness and Innovation Program.
"For
the Veneto will be an important learning opportunity for reflection and
the proposal - said Vice-President of the Regional Franco Manzato -
which comes at a crucial stage of the global economic crisis and a
major corporate crisis for agriculture: regional
institutions and community you are promoting a system of cooperation
among the stakeholders to combine ideas, tools and resources with the
desire to create synergies that are able to provide concrete answers to
an economic sector as strategic as agrifood absolutely. "
The conference is aimed especially at small and medium enterprises (SMEs account for about 99 percent of total agri-food businesses in Europe) and require the presence of representatives of the European Commission, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry in the Region Veneto, representatives of academia, research and the production world.
