First Regional Biodiversity Festival at the Botanical Garden |

It will open next Monday with a meeting at the Botanical Garden of Padua the first Festival of Regional Biodiversity. The event will consist of a series of events scattered, ending in Asolo in December. The
United Nations has declared 2010 "International Year of Biodiversity"
to focus attention on the role of biodiversity for life on Earth and
internationally are planned several initiatives to raise awareness on
this issue. "With
the Festival of Biodiversity - point out the vice president and
councilor to the territory Marino Zorzi and Alderman parks Franco
Manzato - the Region is promoting an initiative which aims to raise
awareness on the risks posed by the loss of biodiversity, promoting positive action to keep the area intact. A
level Veneto Regional Territorial Coordination Plan, recently adopted,
has foreshadowed the creation of an extensive ecological network, in
which the protection of biodiversity is related with the social
development needs of communities in the area. The conference on Monday (starting at 9.00) will have the theme "Biodiversity. Nature and artifice in regional planning / design. Together
with that of Zorzi, there are actions of regents of the University of
Padua Giuseppe Zaccaria, Venice dell'IUAV Amerigo Restuccia, prefect of
the Botanical Garden of Padua Carlo Andreoli, the regional secretary for

Other events of the Festival. The festival program will continue with appointments in Vo 'Euganeo (Padua) in 18 of the Grape Festival, on biodiversity and food, while September 19 has provided the Film Festival, in Cortina (Belluno) September 24 in the Town Hall, on bioversità and quality of landscape in Adria (Rovigo) Sept. 27 at the National Archaeological Museum on biodiversity, archeology and nature in Venice on Oct. 4 at the Auditorium S. Margaret Biodiversity Day with reflection on the content and values of discipline in the Veneto region of the future in Belluno on 11 October at Palazzo Crepadona on biodiversity by placing opportunities Auronzo (Belluno) on October 16 at the Hotel Kursaal biodiversity and alpine environments, in Crespano del Grappa (Treviso) October 18 on biodiversity: a virtuous alliance to focus the Veneto Monte Grappa, people nature and history in Treviso on October 25 at the seat of the provincial administration on bioversità: Storga between Sile and nature outside the city; Teolo (Padova) at the Abbey of Praglia international conference on secondary grassland and on paper the nature of the Venetian; Porto Viro (Rovigo) October 30 in Room Heracles on biodiversity and human rights in Valletta del Silenzio (Vicenza) on November 15 on biodiversity: architecture and nature in Caorle (Venice) on November 29 bioversità: Vallevecchia and tourism development.
