Six
more months of waiting, then also l 'will be officially added to the
list of products protected by the EU Protected Geographical Indication.
The
application form along with the pertinent regulations, has in fact been
published today, January 29, 2010, in the Official Journal of the EU:
If there are any comments or opposition from some EC countries, this
distinctive product of Treviso plain Indication will reach the finish line. "It

Asparagus Badoere ", giving luster to a typical production which finds
in the waters between the Piave and Sile fertile land for cultivation. Asparagus
Badoere belongs to the family of Liliaceae, genus Asparagus,
officinalis species, two types recognized by the specification: the
"white" (5 varieties) and "Green" (5 varieties). The
white one has a sweet, not acidic or salty, tender and devoid of
fibrous green one has instead marked flavor, not acid nor salty, fruity
and herbaceous aroma with lingering finish. Nell'areale
is produced which includes the municipalities and Trebaseleghe Piombino
Dese (Padova), Casale sul Sile Casier, Istrana, Mogliano, Morgano,
Country, Preganziol, Fifth, Resana, Treviso, Vedelago, Zero Branco
(Treviso) and Scorzè ( Venice).
